As a Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and functionality of software applications before they are released to users. You will work closely with development teams to execute test cases, identify issues, and report bugs
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test cases, test plans, and test scripts based on software requirements.
- Conduct functional, regression, usability, and compatibility testing.
- Identify, document, and track bugs, issues, and inconsistencies found during testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
- Verify bug fixes and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Create and maintain test documentation and reports.
- Participate in the design and improvement of testing processes and methodologies.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure a shared understanding of project goals and testing outcomes.
Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Manual Tester or similar role in software quality assurance.
- Strong understanding of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
- Ability to create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
- Familiarity with testing techniques and tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla).
- Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to meticulously track and report issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within a team environment.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
