How does Quick Loan repayment work on the due date?

Hi there, luv! We will debit the monthly Quick Loan repayment from your Tonik Account on your due date. You will receive an SMS notification once the debit is a success or if it fails due to various reasons.

Make sure to Top up your Tonik Account from the following channels in the App before the due date ends to avoid late fee charges:

  • Local Bank Debit Card (Minimum amount Php 500)
  • PESONet (Posting of payment will be next Banking Day; Minimum transfer amount and cut offs depend on Issuing Bank)
  • InstaPay (Minimum transfer amount and cut offs depend on Issuing Bank)

Hi there, luv! Partial repayment isn't available right now, but if you would like to repay your Quick Loan early and in full, you may use the self-service early full settlement feature through the app's Loans Dashboard or even contact our Customer Care team through in-app chat for assistance. XOXO

Can I pre-terminate my Quick Loan? (Early full settlement)

Hi there, luv! We have 2 options for you:

 

1. You can settle your Quick Loan on your own in full by going to your Loans Dashboard and tapping on the "I want to close the loan" button.

Kindly note that you'll need to have enough balance to pay it off in full. If not, we'll ask you to top-up your Tonik Account first.

 

2. You can always advise our Customer Care hotline at +63253222645 and we will notify you of the amount to be paid to close your existing Loan.

I changed my mind halfway through my QL application! Can I reset everything?

Yes you can, luv! Feel free to cancel your Quick Loan application by clicking on the door icon at the top right corner of your screen. Heads up, this will erase all the information you've previously entered and you can only do this before you get to the Terms and Conditions screen.

Don't worry if you've already passed the Terms and Conditions screen or if you've already been approved! Just wait for a few weeks and we'll automatically reset everything for you. XOXO

What are the acceptable income documents for Quick Loan?

Hey luv, we may need to ask for your income documents. For the requirements listed below, you just need to choose any one (1) from the following.

 

Bank Statement

  • shows your transaction history for the entire past month
  • shows your full name, account number, and the bank's name

 

Payslip

  • was issued last month
  • shows your salary for one month
  • shows your full name and the company's name

 

Certificate of Employment

  • was issued last month and signed by your HR or payroll department
  • shows your income
  • shows your full name and the company's name

How do I get the loan?

Hi there, luv! You’ll receive an update on your approval via the Tonik App, then you’ll be asked to sign a few documents. Afterwards, you can head to the cashier and send a request for the Confirmation Code. It’s easy, you just have to click a button on the app!


Once you've paid the down payment, the cashier will then share this Confirmation Code with you so you can enter it into your app. Once that’s done, the cashier will receive a second SMS notifying them that the loan has been disbursed, and that you can now take home your item/s. From this SMS, you can also get your loan agreement number.

Loan Admin fee:

  • 0.374% monthly against loan amount

One-time fees:

  • Processing Fee of Php 5,000
  • Document Stamp Tax of Php 1.50 for every Php 200 of the Loan Amount
  • Registration fee of 1.5% of the Loan Amount

Upon release and annually thereafter:

  • Mortgage Redemption Insurance Premium of PHP 4 for every PHP 1,000 of the loan amount
  • Property Insurance Premium of 0.095% of the loan amount + applicable taxes

Other fees:

  • Pre-termination Fee - 5% of the outstanding loan amount (if applicable)

Can I re-avail a Big Loan?

Hi there, luv! Yes, you can apply for a new Big Loan as long as you have fully paid your previous one. Once you have no debt obligations you may go apply for another one. XOXO

How does Big Loan repayment work on the due date?

Hi there, luv! We will debit the monthly repayment from your Tonik Account on your due date. You will receive an SMS notification once the debit is a success or if it fails due to various reasons.

 

Make sure to top up your Tonik Account through the following channels in the app before the due date ends to avoid late fee charges:

  • Local Bank Debit Card (Minimum amount Php 500)
  • PESONet (Posting of payment will be next Banking Day; Minimum transfer amount and cut offs depend on Issuing Bank)

Hi there, luv! There are multiple reasons why loan applications do not get approved. Our loan application process uses various parameters other than the documents you provided to come up with a Loan offer. It's not that you don't qualify for a loan - it's that we don't have the right kind of loan product to offer you at this time. XOXO

Is my Big Loan subject for any insurance?

Yes, luv! Your Big Loan is subject to Mortgage Redemption Insurance, as well as Property Insurance. Insurance Premiums are to be paid by the Borrower. XOXO

What is MRI?

Hi there, luv! Mortgage Redemption Insurance (MRI) is a term insurance coverage for the loan borrower with the Bank as the beneficiary. Banks typically require borrowers to have an MRI when granting loans with a property collateral. For example: in case of death of the borrower, having an MRI avoids foreclosure of the mortgaged property at a time when financial support is needed most. XOXO

What is Property Insurance?

Hi there, luv! Property Insurance is a form of insurance, the benefits of which, when payable, are used to pay the outstanding loan of the insured, and/or to cover the expenses in case of partial damage/loss of the property used as collateral to the loan. Our property insurance is different from the existing Property Insurance provided by the condo developer, which is for the structure and standard deliverables of the developer. Our insurance is not a duplication of that, but rather it is on the content and improvements the owner has added to the unit. To keep things simple, your unit is covered based on the amount of the loan. In case of complete damage/loss of the property, having Property Insurance will secure full payment of the outstanding loan. XOXO

How long should I be covered with the Insurances?

Hi there, luv! Your initial insurance coverage/s is for one year and is renewable every year until your loan is fully paid. Upon renewal, the amount of your insurance coverage will change based on your updated loan balance at the time when the renewal notice is prepared. XOXO

What will be the proof of my insurance coverage?

Hi there, luv. As proof of your insurance coverage/s, you shall be provided a Certificate of Insurance which contains details of your insurance coverages upon release of the loan. XOXO

Will I get notifications regarding the renewal of the Insurances?

Hi there, luv! Yes, Tonik and/or our insurance partner will send you a renewal notice by post and e-mail, 30 and 60 days prior to your renewal month. This notice contains your premium amount due, coverage amount and other details relating to your insurances. We may also send premium due reminders through SMS and/or call to your Tonik-registered number. Upon payment of your renewal premiums, Tonik and/or our insurance partner will send you a new Certificate of Insurance, which contains details of your renewed insurance coverages. XOXO

How to settle my Insurance Premiums?

Hi there, luv! The initial premiums for your first year of insurance coverages are deducted to the loan proceeds when loan is granted. For the renewal, the premium amount shall be automatically debited from your Tonik Account on its due date. XOXO

I was not able to pay my policy's renewal premium on its due date. Can I still pay?

Yes, luv! Your Insurance Renewal Premiums have a 31-day grace period, so you can still pay your premium within 31 days from the due date of your premium renewal. XOXO

What will happen if I fail to settle my premium and my grace period already ended?

Hi there, luv. Your mortgage redemption insurance and property insurance will cover your loan balance. Please note that your loan agreement with Tonik requires you to secure a mortgage redemption insurance and property insurance, so in case you miss your renewal premium payments, Tonik may pay your insurance premium. However, please note that this will be subject to additional interest charges. XOXO

• Application must be lodged while in the Philippines
• Only Filipino citizenship is allowed
• 3 years of continuous engagement
• Apostille Certificate of Employment with Compensation issued in the three (3) most recent months including application month
• Pay slips from the three (3) most recent months (a total of 6 pay slips for bi-weekly payroll) including application month
• Bank Statement of Account in the last 6 completed months
